Shaving strop | The Blaidmat
Prolong the life of your razor with our leather strop - The Blaidmat
The secret of a close shave, wherever you are shaving, is to have a sharp blade. Whatever razor you choose to use, at Kairn we want to help keep it sharper for longer.
Introducing the Blaidmat
We invented the Kairn Blaidmat as a way to extend the life of razors, improve the shaving experience and reduce plastic waste. Our thinking is, whatever razor you use, the sharper it is, the less likely to get nicks and clogs in it. Improving the shaving and prolonging your razor's life. In that way, if you use a disposable razor, then it'll last you longer, save money and cut plastic waste.
How to use the Blaidmat
Because of its ingenious design, the Blaidmat can be used with any razor. Take a look at our simple step by step guide for how to use the Blaidmat.
Material: The Blaidmat is handmade from premium leather in the UK.
The Kairn Three Stage shaving system works for all hair types, on all parts of your body. It takes a little time, but we think that the time spent is well worth it, as it's to nourish, protect and renew your skin.
Rinse your skin in warm water to soften hair. Pour a capful of Kairn skin scrub into your palm and gently massage into the area to be shaved. Our skin scrub is designed to gently exfoliate your skin and remove dead skin cells prior to shaving, whilst also preparing your skin for step 2. Rinse off with warm water.
Pour a capful of Kairn shave oil into palm and gently massage into the area to be shaved. Our shave oil is designed to hydrate and moisturise the skin whilst leaving a fine layer on the surface to help your blade glide effortlessly as you shave. After shaving, rinse the area with clean, cool water and towel dry.
Apply a capful of Kairn after shaving balm to your skin and gently massage until absorbed. The natural ingredients in our balm are designed to promote natural regeneration and maintain healthy skin post shaving. You might find it takes a moment to absorb, but it's worth waiting to fully nourish your skin.
Botanical and essential oils have the power to do amazing things. Our shave and skin oils are inspired by nature, harvesting the power of plants to turn our environment into natural wonders. At Kairn we harness the active botanical oils and minerals found in these plants and allow you to share in their powerful skin renewing properties. Whether as shave oils or as moisture enhancing face & body oils or washes, they are easily absorbed and packed with essential skin boosting nutrients.
