What is hyaluronic acid?

Not what it sounds like! Hyaluronic acid is something that is already naturally present in our bodies. It’s mainly found in the fluids in our joints and eyes, and over half of it is in our skin. This sugary carb is part of our skin’s structure, important for helping it stay hydrated, moist and supple.

What does hyaluronic acid do?

It’s well known for having really incredible skin-restoring properties. The main benefit is the ability to retain moisture, helping your skin have a more youthful look and feel. Some have also credited hyaluronic acid with benefits around removing fine skin lines or helping with the natural process of skin repair and healing.

Is hyaluronic acid natural?

Yes, it is. The hyaluronic acid that we use comes from a natural process of fermentation with bacteria cultivated in laboratories. Plant and wheat extracts are combined in safe manufacturing environments to produce the highest quality of naturally-derived hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid doesn’t grow on trees, but we have found this is the most natural way of being able to include this skin-boosting product in our shower gels.
